with Adam Harris head of “AS I AM “ the autism charity of ireland he is wonderful a funny articulate smart gentle autistic man i have loved getting to know him and all the work they have done helping autistic families succeed ireland is a tiny island the size of South Carolina yet there is a community feeling across the country the autism rate is quite high 1 in 20 Irish children have autism its one in 37 in the USA there r not enough services in either place thousands of families wait for school placements for their loved one hanging in the balance there r not enough spaces they have the funds here to implement new programs to make sure every child has a place a desk - a locker and that’s what AS I AM is doing I am thrilled to be a part of it I feel its where I am supposed to be on April 5th there is a walk across ireland to raise money for autism here’s some info https://asiam.ie/events/same-chance-walk-for-autism#:~:text=Join%20us%20on%20the%205th,create%20a%20more%20inclusive%20Ireland. This is amazing. As an autistic woman for whom there were no services and no awareness in the 70s, this makes me so happy. And men like him are changing the narrative of us. We're brilliant, kind, empathetic, despite the constant media coverage that pretends we are all anti social. So happy you are finding your tribe. 🇮🇪🪶
Absolutely lovely pic of u and clay 🥰
